“Cloud Keep,” the vibrant new single by Mark Redito that features Brooklyn’s wonder songstress and producer Abbi Press, came to be as Redito was struggling with a crippling writer’s block.

“I felt burnt out and unmotivated.” Redito says of his writing process for the latest single which began in early 2016. “A lot had happened in my personal life during that time and that may have affected my creativity; I still loved making music, I just didn’t feel as inspired.”

“I knew I had to start doing something about it, so I implemented a daily writing practice where I started or finished a song every day.”

Result, was the quintessential Mark Redito sound that continues the sonic journey where he last left off with his 2016 release, “You’ll Only Love Me When I’m Gone.” Accompanying music video proves to be just as inspired as it features casts that are racially diverse and places relevant themes such as LGBTQ relationships and what falling in love might look like for the post-facebook generation front and center.

“Cloud Keep (feat. Abbi Press)” is a love song for the digital generation that lets you be vulnerable and honest as the lush synth texture wraps you up and the bubble gum bounce of electro-funk/pop beats move your feet. If this isn’t what being in love feels like, then what is?
