I met Isa on Soundcloud where she posts songs from her solo project, Skymarines. I instantly fell in love with her voice and left her a message for collaboration purely on impulse. She quickly responded and was excited about my proposal. From there I sent her the early stages of this song: a few bars of verses and a chorus. We then went back and forth and worked on the melody and the lyrics, editing and re-recording parts as needed. It was an enjoyable process and I was always excited whenever she came back with a new part. The final stages of mixing and mastering had me on the edge of my seat. I was thrilled at how the song sounded and how it all took shape.

I feel like this song really encapsulates that "young love" feeling-- reckless, with no care in the world. It's really hard to explain that feeling in words sometimes and I feel like this song, to me, has done that in a groovy, alluring way.

In terms of production, I'm very happy with how everything sounds. I'm particularly proud of the percussion parts; all of them were home made. I used everything from drumsticks, light switches, to glassware to produce these sounds. The vocals were recorded by Isa through her iPhone and then sent to me for processing. Everything was mixed and mastered by yours truly. 

Making this song was such a fun experience for me. I'm really happy to share it with you guys. Hope you all enjoy!
