Vintage Boy aka Dan Gil is the songwriter and keyboardist for Manila's premier neo-soul band, Chillitees. I heard his song "I Cant Let You Go" on my soundcloud feed and it caught me instantly. I then asked him if I can do a remix of it, and he quickly obliged and sent me stems. I must say, this song took me longer than I thought. I had couple of different ideas and directions in my head on where to take the song to, but then eventually went for a more "dub" vibe because it felt right. I must also admit that I wasnt shy with pushing the low frequencies on this one (turn up your subs or wear good headphones)! It was truly an enjoyable experience all in all putting this together. Thanks Dan and hope all you guys enjoy!
